The rout of Shirkent historical park

Natural historical park "Shirkent" in the city of Tursunzade, according to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan No. 1479 dated September 12, 1993, in order to protect and preserve the biological diversity of the upper reaches of the Shirkent River, protect and preserve more than 40 reservoirs of ethnographic historical significance and for the development of ecological tourism on an area of ​​3000 hectares. The tourist route of the natural-historical park "Shirkent" is organized by two routes. The total area of ​​allocated land, including pastures 1139.19 ha, forests and forests 556.09 ha and other types of land under water 7.62 ha, under the road 0.55 ha and other types of land 1296.61 ha. The total area of ​​the above lands is 3000 hectares. More than 13 species of animals and birds listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tajikistan live in the territories of the Shirkent Historical and Natural Park. The only dinosaur trail, which includes more than 400 small and large footprints, is located in the Shirkent Historical Natural Park, which attracts the attention of foreign and domestic tourists. According to political scientists, dinosaur footprints have a history of 95-105 million years.
